Advent calendar

Although advent calendars typically start on December 1st, I've decided to keep it a bit short this year.

Click on the picture to see the tasks.

You'll see that there are two types of tasks. Type 1 focuses on language development, while Type 2 tasks invite children to do something different. For example,

Type 1

Day 12 - Let's learn and practise Christmas vocabulary.

Day 13 - Let's read a Christmas story.

Day 19 - Be curious! Find out about Christmas traditions around the world.

These activities will be done in class.

Type 2

Day 17 - Enjoy new music today! Play, sing, dance or listen!

Day 18 - Notice three things you find beautiful in the outside world.

Day 21 - Be creative! Draw, write, paint, make!

Type 2 tasks will be done at home. I will be posting them on Google Classroom and the learners will be invited to share their moments on the platform. As an alternative, if you don't use Google Classroom, they can share their moment in the notebook or might even create a special Christmas journal!
